I grew up without any religion and went looking for meaning everywhere else. I meditated at retreats, read Eastern philosophy, and chased one experience after another. There was real beauty in those years, but always a restlessness underneath. A friend gently challenged me to actually read about Jesus, not the idea of Him, but His words. When I did, something in me settled that had never settled before. The seeking did not stop, but it finally had a center. I gave my life to Christ on an ordinary Tuesday, and I have never felt more at home. Every road I walked was leading me here.
